Timber Ridge was an extensive remodel project. The goal was to maintain a majority of the home while adding a second level and screen porch. Reclaimed corrugated metal used at the front entry ceiling was carried through to the screen porch ceiling. The prominent great room trusses showcase metal strapping details that add a subtle touch to an observant eye. The fireplaces on the exterior and interior of the home display reclaimed mantels and the matching stone brings unity throughout the home. The kitchen was redesigned around a large working island to create more space for entertainment. Outside the new screen porch is a walkout wooden deck, as an added socializing space, with access from the master bedroom.
The landscape, although minimal, helps to present the home in an understated way. The large stone steps, with sparse flagstone steppers, coming off the deck and screen porch help the home transition into the landscape. The mulch beds and boulder outcroppings create a low maintenance surrounding.
